National Road Safety Day 2024 3B Outer Circular Road, Moghbazar, Dhaka – 1217, Bangladesh 22 October 2024 Celebration of National Road Safety Day by the Automobile Association of Bangladesh (AAB)As in previous years, the Automobile Association of Bangladesh (AAB) celebrated National Road Safety Day on 22 October 2024. The event aimed to promote road safety awareness across the country. The inauguration of the Road Safety Awareness Campaign was held.The campaign was inaugurated by the Assistant Traffic Police Commissioner, marking the beginning of a series of road safety initiatives in the divisional cities of Dhaka and Chattogram. Key Participants The campaign saw active participation from: President of AAB (via virtual platform) Director of Sport (via virtual platform) AAB officials Assistant Traffic Police Commissioner (DMP) General students Motorsport drivers AAB volunteers Campaign Activities The campaign included several key activities to raise awareness about road safety: Distribution of 1,000 FIA 10 Golden Rules and 1,000 road safety awareness stickers to drivers, passengers, shopkeepers, students, and the general public. A rally was held from the AAB office premises to Moghbazar Circle, with participants carrying road safety materials to spread awareness. Digital displays showcasing road safety awareness videos and a speech by the President of AAB on road safety were shown at the AAB office premises. Outreach in Chattogram The road safety awareness campaign also extended to Chattogram, where FIA 10 Golden Rules and road safety awareness stickers were distributed to drivers, passengers, shopkeepers, students, and the general public to further promote road safety.
