Achievement from the event
Description
On 8th June 2024, AAB launched the Esports GT Time Trial Championship 2024, organized by AA Bangladesh. The event attracted around 300 registered participants, out of which 72 drivers qualified for the next round by 15th July 2024. From this pool, the top 30 drivers were selected to advance to Round 2. However, while briefing the top 30 participants, a sudden civil unrest situation in Bangladesh disrupted the event. This included an internet blackout for one month, forcing a temporary suspension of activities. Once the situation stabilized and internet services were restored, AA Bangladesh rescheduled Round 2, opting to replace it with a series of six races to better evaluate driver performance. After completing the six-race series, Mr. Rahul Chakraborty emerged as the final champion, earning his place as the Esports GT representative for the FIA Motorsport Games 2024.Additionally, Fahad Gaffoor secured his position as the Esports F4 representative. Fahad entered the competition as a wildcard, following a recommendation by Alex Yoong, a former Formula 1 driver, to the Director of Sports at AA Bangladesh. This championship marked another milestone for AAB in identifying and nurturing exceptional motorsport talent in Bangladesh.
